By default, members' profiles on your PHPmotion site are displayed for the world to see. That isn't a problem for most, but on sites that target youth or just self-conscious demographics, it's nice to provide an option to hide the more sensitive items. Of course, your users could simply enter fake information, but it may appear a little more professional to give them actual privacy settings to control the display of personal things.

Mods

The mod for PHPmotion thumbnails now includes all sorts of new features and fixes!  With over twenty sites so far using the initial release, we've gotten quite a few feature requests (and a couple of bugs reported), and have implemented many of the suggestions in the new Thumbnail Selection Mod.  Don't worry- in spite of the improvements, the price remains the same, and the upgrade is free for existing users!

Here are a few of the new features (some are only applicable to PHPmotion V3/3.5):

• Multi-language support (via lang file)
• Thumb and player_thumb dimension settings
• Overlay of time grabbed from (similar to the image above)
• Auto-detects PHPmotion version
• Thumbs for any video can be changed via siteadmin
• "Surrounding" thumbs at intervals before and after specified time (can be enabled/disabled/adjusted in settings file)
• Moderator support
• Removes unused thumbs on selection
• Improved random thumb generation
